  • Chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board issues a complaint to the Nevada Gaming Commission over Cal Neva Lodge and chief stockholder Frank Sinatra for 1) allowing Sam Giancana at the hotel in July, in contravention of being required to keep him off their property, 2) that Sinatra threatened the Chairman, 3) that employees attempted bribing GCB audit agents, and 4) that an employee avoided a subpoena to the board by leaving the state. (One day before the deadline to file an answer to the complain, Sinatra withdraws completely from Nevada gaming industry.) [823.164]
