  • 2022 - Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano erupts underwater in the Kingdom of Tonga, in the South Pacific Ocean. The resulting tsunami can be heard 2000km away in New Zealand. A gas plume rises 20km in the sky. Pebbles rain down on Tonga 65km away.
