  • 15th: 2009 - The New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 to win Major League Baseball's American League Championship Series 4 games to 2.
  • 15th: 2009 - A double suicide carbomb attack in Baghdad, Iraq, kills at least 155 people, injuring more than 520. The blasts hit the ministry of justice and a provincial government office near the heavily fortified Green Zone.
  • 5th: 2019 - Tourists visit the summit of Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) for the last time, as a ban on climbing the famous rock in Australia's Northern Territory comes into effect.
