- 2006 - Microsoft officially releases the Windows Vista operating system to corporate clients. The software is comprised of 50 million lines of source code.
- 2008 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A computer store in a mall has a logo like the Apple company. with laptop and desktop computers that look like Apple products. A man runs into the store and throws a sledgehammer at the large screen displaying the company CEO, like the "1984" Apple ad introducing the Macintosh. A laptop computer with an Apple-like logo is used at a house. A package is delivered in a box with double-bite apple logo and "MAPPLE".
Video Game history:
- 2004 - Ubisoft releases the Ghost Recon 2 video game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in the US.
- 2004 - Square Enix releases the Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls video game for the Game Boy Advance in the US.
