  • 1995 - Microsoft agrees to pay royalties to Spyglass of close to US$1 per Web browser shipped for Windows 3.1 and the Macintosh OS.
  • 1995 - (near midnight) Microsoft and Sun Microsystems agree on terms for Microsoft to license Java for its Web browser software.
  • 2000 - Infogrames of France acquires Hasbro Interactive of the USA for US$5 million cash and US$95 million in stock.
Video Game history:

  • 1982 - Mike Perez scores a world record 30,780 on the Moon Shuttle arcade game.
  • 1995 - Sony announces sales of the PlayStation video game system in the US to date: 300,000 units. Sales of the Sega Saturn video game system in the US to date: 130,000.
  • 1996 - Enix releases the Dragon Quest III Remix video game for the Super Famicom in Japan.
  • 2004 - Auction sales begin for final assets of Acclaim Entertainment.
  • 2004 - Nintendo releases the Mario Party 6 video game for the GameCube in the US.
  • 2004 - LucasArts releases the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game for the Xbox in the US.
  • 2006 - Ubisoft releases the Star Wars: Lethal Alliance video game for the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS in the US.
