- 2005 - Microsoft releases the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system, for computers with Intel Pentium or AMD Athlon processors with 64-bit instructions. Price is US$155.95.
- 2010 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the USA. A desktop computer appears, running a standard Windows lines screensaver.
Video Game history:
- 2000 - Reprise Records releases the music album Silver & Gold by Neil Young. The album cover art was shot with a Game Boy Camera.
- 2006 - Majesco releases the Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers video game for the Nintendo DS in the US.
- 2006 - Ubisoft releases the America's Army: Rise of a Soldier video game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in the US.
- 2010 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the USA. A "Funtendo Zii" appears, a parody of the Nintendo Wii. When the power goes out, the two kids use the remotes to fight each other.
