- 1982 - The National Computer Conference is held in Houston, Texas.
- 1983 - At the Summer CES, Commodore International shows the Executive 64, formerly the Commodore SX-100. It has a 6-inch color monitor and is priced at US$995.
- 1994 - (to June 18) At the Trump Tower in New York City, the Intel World Chess Championship Quarter-finals are held. Game moves are entered on laptop computers, connected by modems to ImagiNation Network for live interactive coverage for viewers.
- 2000 - United States District Judge Thomas Jackson orders the breakup of Microsoft into two companies, one producing operating systems, the other producing application programs. Microsoft says it will file an appeal of the decision.
- 2004 - Apple Computer announces the AirPort Express wireless network station. Price is US$129.

- 2002 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US. A scene takes place in a videogame arcade.
- 2004 - Nintendo releases The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure for the Game Cube in the US.

- 2011 - At the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, Sony announces the name of its new PlayStation Portable model: PlayStation Vita. Release price is to be US$249.99 (249 euros, 24,980 yen).
- 2011 - Sony Computer Entertainment releases the Infamous 2 video game for the PlayStation 3 in the US.
