- 2004 - Screen Gems releases the film Resident Evil: Apocalypse in the USA. A Sony VAIO laptop computer appears.
- 2006 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A gangster uses a Palm Pilot to schedule his meetings.
Video Game history:
- 1998 - Acclaim Entertainment releases the Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II video games for the Game Boy in Japan.
- 1998 - Sony CEA releases the Spyro the Dragon video game for the PlayStation in the US.
- 2001 - Nintendo releases the Advance Wars video game for the Game Boy Advance in the US.
- 2004 - Screen Gems releases the film Resident Evil: Apocalypse in the USA. The film is based on the Resident Evil video game series, and contains references to several of the Resident Evil (Biohazard) games.
- 2007 - Sony releases a new PlayStation Portable. The updated unit is 0.75 inches thick (versus 0.9), slimmer battery, weight 6.7 ounces (versus 9.2), includes cable output to TV, 64 MB RAM (versus 32), various other modifications. Price is US$169.99.
