Personal Computer history:

  • 1986 - Motorola announces the Motorola 68030 microprocessor. It incorporates about 300,000 transistors.
  • 1993 - Eight games by Sierra On-Line for the Macintosh cause the system to lock-up, due to a time-related algorithm bug.
  • 1995 - Netscape Communications releases Navigator 2.0 beta, with support for Java applets.
  • 2001 - Sony announces the Clie PEG N760C handheld computer. It features built-in digital audio player, Palm OS v4.1, 65,536-color display. Price is US$500; the unit is to be available in October, replacing the Clie PEG N710C.
  • 2005 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. An 8-year-old girl has a personal computer in her bedroom.
Video Game history:

  • 2006 - Nintendo releases the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team video game for the Nintendo DS in the US.
  • 2006 - Nintendo releases the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team video game for the Game Boy Advance in the US.
  • 2012 - 2K Games releases the Borderlands 2 video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
