  • 1927 - Universal Pictures releases the fifth Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film, The Mechanical Cow, to theaters.
  • 1941 - The Pluto film Lend a Paw is released to theaters. Mickey Mouse also appears. The film is a re-make of the film Mickey's Pal Pluto.
  • 1947 - The Mickey Mouse film Mickey's Delayed Date is released. Pluto and Minnie Mouse also appear.
  • 1955 - The ABC TV network launches Disney's second TV show The Mickey Mouse Club. It is a daily one-hour series, showing cartoons and introducing the talents of the "Mouseketeers".
  • 1956 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, featuring the film Rob Roy, part one.
  • 1958 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring the first "Elfego Baca" episode, The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca.
  • 1965 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled The Further Adventures of Gallegher: The Big Swindle.
  • 1971 - The Peter Pan's Flight attraction opens in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
  • 1971 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring Hacksaw, part two.
  • 1984 - Sid Bass buys Ivan Boesky's 1.52 million Disney shares for US$60 each, bringing Bass Brothers Enterprises' share of the company up to 16 percent.
  • 1984 - The Walt Disney Employees Association is formed.
  • 1986 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Tough Guys to theaters in the US.
  • 1991 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show. The episode title "Three Men and a Comic Book" is a reference to previous Disney releases Three Men and a Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady.
  • 1993 - The Expo Robotics robot demonstration in Epcot closes.
  • 1994 - Dominica issues ten postage stamps marking the 65th anniversary of Mickey Mouse.
  • 1995 - Walt Disney Home Video releases the film Cinderella in the US on videocassette for US$26.99, and on laserdisc for US$39.99.
  • 1995 - Disney releases the animated film compilation Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too / Winnie the Pooh: Frankenpooh on laserdisc in the US, for US$30. It includes: Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too, The Monster Frankenpooh, Things that go Piglet in the Night, Pooh Moon.
  • 1996 - The World of Disney shop opens in the Disney Village Marketplace at Walt Disney World.
  • 1997 - The 100th and last episode of Bill Nye, the Science Guy airs.
  • 1998 - The Knight Shop at Disneyland closes.
  • 1998 - The Villains Lair shop opens in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
  • 1999 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs the Futurama TV show in the US. A photograph of two characters on a log flume ride is similar to the photo taken on the drop on Disney's Splash Mountain ride.
  • 2000 - Buena Vista Home Entertainment releases the film Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas on videocassette and DVD. Included are films Vincent and Frankenweenie.
  • 2000 - Buena Vista Home Entertainment releases the film James and the Giant Peach on videocassette and DVD.
  • 2000 - Disney releases the film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad on videocassette.
  • 2004 - The ABC TV network premieres the Desperate Housewives TV show.
  • 2005 - In Disneyland, in the forecourt of Sleeping Beauty Castle, about 1000 people part of display of "Mouseketeer Ears", to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, The Mickey Mouse Club TV show, and the Mouseketeers. Ten of the original Mouseketeers are present at the resort for the celebration.
  • 2008 - Disney releases the film Beverly Hills Chihuahua to theaters in the USA.
  • 2009 - A ticker-tape parade is held for Buzz Lightyear at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to celebrate his return from 15 months in the International Space Station.
  • 2010 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
    • The title of a cartoon TV show "P.U." and style of writing it in the sky, and entire theme of the cartoon is reference to Disney-Pixar film Up.
    • Clouds in sky look like Mike from Monster's Inc, Wall-E from Wall-E, and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.

  • 1912 - Birth of Van Arsdale France in Seattle, Washington; trained Disneyland employees, established Disney University, created Backstage Disneyland magazine for cast members, established Disneyland Alumni Club, retired 1978, named Disney Legend in 1994.
