- 1949 - RKO Radio Pictures releases Disney's animated feature film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad to theaters. The film is also known as simply Ichabod and Mr. Toad. The film was originally titled Two Fabulous Characters, as it comprises two half hour sequences: Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willow, and Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
