  • 1962 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring Escapade in Florence, part two.
  • 1971 - Buena Vista premieres the animated and live-action feature film Bedknobs and Broomsticks in London, England. The film cost almost US$20 million to make.
  • 1973 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring Mustang! part one.
  • 1980 - Grenada Grenadines issues ten postage stamps depicting scenes from Bambi.
  • 1981 - Disney releases the live-action feature film The Watcher in the Woods to theaters in the US. The film is based on the novel A Watcher in the Woods by Florence Engel Randall.
  • 1984 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Premiere Film Love Leads the Way.
  • 1985 - The Disney Channel begins airing the TV series Danger Bay.
  • 1990 - The first American Teacher Awards show is held at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. The awards show was created by Disney for broadcast on the Disney Channel.
  • 1991 - The ABC TV network begins exclusive airing of Disney's Live with Regis and Kathie Lee.
  • 1993 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A movie theater lists Ernest Goes Somewhere Cheap as now playing. The title is a parody of the Ernest films.
  • 1994 - Buena Vista Pictures generally releases the film Ed Wood to theaters.
  • 1994 - Buena Vista International releases the animated feature film The Lion King to theaters in the United Kingdom.
  • 1998 - The Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin attraction opens in the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World.
  • 2002 - The A Bug's Land area opens in Disney California Adventure. The attractions are Flik's Flyers, Tuck & Roll's Drive 'em Buggies, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Francis's Ladybug Boogie, and Princess Dot Puddle Park.
  • 2003 - Disney releases The Lion King Special Edition on DVD for US$29.99 in the US.
  • 2005 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US.
    • A segment in black and white mimics cartoons of the 1930s, with two characters looking like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
    • A street corner labels the streets "UB" and "IWERKS".
