  • 1923 - Walt and Roy Disney, as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, sign a contract with M.J. Winkler Productions, a New York film distributor, to produce six Alice Comedy short films, for US$1500 each, with an option for six more. Winkler will retain all rights to the films produced.
  • 1923 - Walt Disney writes to Virginia Davis' mother in Kansas City, asking them to move from Kansas City to Hollywood, for Virginia to star in series of Alice Comedies.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, featuring the third "Saga of Andy Burnett" episode, Andy's Love Affair.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled Killers of the High Country.
  • 1960 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled Rapids Ahead, showing portions of the films Ten Who Dared and Bear Country.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled The 101 Problems of Hercules.
  • 1976 - The NBC TV network airs NBC All-Disney Saturday Night at the Movies featuring The Great Locomotive Chase and Nikki, Wild Dog of the North.
  • 1984 - Striking Disneyland workers vote 70 percent in favor of accepting a new contract, ending the park's longest strike, 22 days.
  • 1988 - The NBC TV network airs The Magical World of Disney show, entitled Disney's All-American Sports Nuts.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Consenting Adults to theatres.
  • 1995 - Bulgaria issues a postage stamp marking the 100 years of motion pictures, including Mickey Mouse.
  • 1998 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Beloved to theaters in the USA.
  • 2006 - Disney announces it is phasing out unhealthy food served in its parks, and cutting back on licensing characters promoting snacks with excess sugar and fat.
  • 2015 - Touchstone releases the DreamWorks film Bridge of Spies to theaters in the USA.
