  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring the second "The Swamp Fox" episode, Brother Against Brother.
  • 1960 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring the Zorro episode El Bandido.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Gallegher Goes West: Crusading Reporter.
  • 1969 - Disney hosts a press conference at the Ramada Inn in Ocoee, Florida, unveiling models and plans for Phase One of the Walt Disney World resort.
  • 1977 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled Halloween Hall of Fame.
  • 1982 - The CBS TV network airs the Walt Disney show, entitled Disney's Halloween Treat.

  • 1985 - Sierra Leone issues five postage stamps depicting Disney characters in Rumpelstiltskin.

  • 1987 - NBC airs the TV special Disney's DTV Monster Hits.
  • 1989 - The film The Making of Me opens in the Wonders of Life pavilion in EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World.
  • 1989 - The Disney Channel begins airing the Treasure of Lost Creek serial on the Mickey Mouse Club.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the film Beauty and the Beast on videocassette. One million copies sell on the first day.
  • 1996 - The Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet Restaurant opens in Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris. Formerly Space Festival.
  • 2005 - Disney premieres the animated feature film Chicken Little in Hollywood, California.
  • 2009 - The Disney Cruise Line announces the upcoming cruise ship Disney Dream will include the world's first shipboard water coaster ride, the Aquaduck; inside cabins will include a Virtual Porthole displaying live ocean-view video from cameras placed on the exterior of the ship, and in youth areas a 103-inch video screen will feature Crush and Stitch characters in real-time conversation with kids.
  • 2010 - The Disney Dream cruise ship floats out from the Meyer Werft shipyard at Papenburg, Germany.
