  • 1939 - Disney publishes the first issue of The Bulletin, a studio employee newsletter.
  • 1950 - The Pluto film Pluto's Heart Throb is released. Butch and Dinah also appear.
  • 1963 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Three Tall Tales, with Ludwig von Drake. Films shown are Casey at the Bat, Paul Bunyan, and Windwagon Smith.
  • 1974 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring The Whiz Kid and the Mystery at Riverton, part one.
  • 1985 - The Hallmark card shop at Disneyland closes, after 25 years of operation.
  • 1985 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Premiere Film Black Arrow.
  • 1988 - The CBS TV network airs the last episode of The Oldest Rookie show.
  • 1993 - Disney releases the film Honey, I Blew Up the Kid on laserdisc for US$40. Included is the short film Off His Rockers.
  • 1994 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A character spray paints "Carpe Diem" on a wall, similar to a scene in the film Dead Poets Society.
  • 1995 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Houseguest to theaters in the USA.
  • 1997 - The Rocket Jets ride in Tomorrowland in Disneyland closes.
  • 1997 - The Pirates of Caribbean attraction at Disneyland closes for updates.
  • 2002 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
    • A character refers to "the magic of Disney Animatronics".
    • A robotic human in a chair stands and speaks, a reference to the Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln attraction.

  • 2006 - Disney generally releases the film Casanova to theaters in the USA.
