  • 1955 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, featuring the fourth "Davy Crockett" episode, Davy Crockett's Keelboat Race.
  • 1969 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring Varda, The Peregrine Falcon.
  • 1986 - The TV movie The Leftovers airs.
  • 1987 - Grenada issues ten postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in tales by Hans Christian Andersen.
  • 1987 - Grenada Grenadines issues ten postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in tales by Hans Christian Andersen.
  • 1988 - Peggy Lee, the voice of several characters in the film Lady and the Tramp, sues Disney for US$25 million, claiming her approval was not sought before the release of the film on videocassette.
  • 1990 - Disney releases the Mickey Mouse animated short film The Prince and the Pauper to theatres. Also appearing are Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Pete.
  • 1990 - Disney generally releases the film The Rescuers Down Under to theaters. This is Disney's first official animated feature sequel. This is Disney's first animated film to not use physical cels in the production process.
  • 1991 - The NBC TV network begins airing the Walter and Emily show.
  • 1992 - Sierra Leone issues fifteen postage stamps depicting Disney characters in Christmas scenes.
  • 1997 - The live-action feature film Flubber premieres at La Guardia Performing Arts High School, in New York.
  • 1998 - The Westward Ho Conestoga Wagon Fries food stand opens in Frontierland at Disneyland.
  • 2004 - The Turtle Talk with Crush attraction opens in Epcot at Walt Disney World.
  • 2004 - The Stitch's Great Escape attraction opens in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The location formerly housed The ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter.
