  • 1942 - Disney delivers the 16-mm film South of the Border with Disney to the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs.
  • 1951 - The Goofy film No Smoking is released.
  • 1969 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring The Secrets of the Pirate's Inn, part one.
  • 1980 - The NBC TV network airs the Disney's Wonderful World show, entitled Mouseketeer Reunion, celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Mickey Mouse Club TV show.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled Thanksgiving Promise.
  • 1987 - Mongolia issues eleven postage stamps depicting scenes from The Brave Little Toaster and The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.
  • 1988 - In Disneyland, the Bear Country area is renamed Critter Country.
  • 1988 - The Crocodile Mercantile shop opens in Critter Country at Disneyland. Former name was Ursus H. Bear's Wilderness Outpost.
  • 1989 - The Delizie Italiane shop opens in the Italy pavilion in World Showcase in EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World. Former name was Arcata d'Antigiani.
  • 1994 - The Spaceship Earth attraction in EPCOT Center reopens after a renovation, with narration by Jeremy Irons.
  • 1994 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Hollywood Pictures / Caravan Pictures live-action feature film A Low Down Dirty Shame to theaters in the US.
  • 1998 - Disney and FTD begin offering "Disney Flowers" flower delivery service initiated via the disney.com Web site. Vases can be shaped like, or include pictures of, Disney cartoon characters.
  • 1998 - The Kona Café restaurant opens in the Great Ceremonial House of the Polynesian Village Resort of Walt Disney World. Formerly the Coral Isle Cafe.
  • 1999 - Disney releases the film Lady and the Tramp on DVD.
  • 1999 - Disney releases the film Peter Pan on DVD.
  • 1999 - Disney releases the film Simba's Pride on DVD.
  • 2000 - In New York City, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is held. A new Mickey Mouse balloon debuts, wearing the Mouseketeer bandleader outfit and carrying a baton. The balloon is 66 feet long, 40 feet high, and 35 feet wide.
  • 2003 - Disney premieres the live-action feature film The Haunted Mansion at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California.
