  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled How to Relax. Several Goofy films are shown.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled A Storm Called Maria. it is based on the book Storm by George Stewart.
  • 1960 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled Moochie of Pop Warner Football: From Ticonderoga to Disneyland. Walt Disney gives a cameo appearance in this show.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring The Moon-Spinners, part two.
  • 1983 - The TV show Krag, the Kootenay Ram airs in Canada.
  • 1985 - Grenada Grenadines issues five postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in Mark Twain's Letters From Hawaii.
  • 1985 - Grenada Grenadines issues five postage stamps featuring Disney character versions of the Brothers Grimm story The Elves and the Shoemaker.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network airs the special Disney's Fluppy Pups.
  • 1987 - The NBC TV network airs the one-hour special Walt Disney World Celebrity Circus.
  • 1988 - The TV special "The Absent-Minded Professor" airs.
  • 1989 - The Disney Channel airs the last episode of the Treasure of Lost Creek serial on the Mickey Mouse Club.
  • 1992 - Warner Bros. Española S.A. releases the film Beauty and the Beast to theaters in Spain.
  • 1994 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A fantasy underwater scene and music parody Disney's The Little Mermaid and song "Under the Sea".
  • 1996 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film 101 Dalmatians to theaters in the US. The film is a remake of the 1961 animated film. The film cost US$45-55 million to make.
  • 1997 - The It's a Small World attraction at Disneyland re-opens with additions to show how holidays are celebrated around the world. Temporary new name is It's a Small World Holiday.
  • 2002 - Disney generally releases the film Treasure Planet to theaters in the USA. The film cost US$130 million to produce.
