  • 1962 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled The Mooncussers: Graveyard of Ships, part one.
  • 1965 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action feature film That Darn Cat! to theaters. The film is based on the book Undercover Cat by Millie and Gordon Gordon.
  • 1971 - (to December 5) The Walt Disney World Open golf championship is held, at the Magnolia Course.
  • 1984 - 20-year old Margarita Granados gives birth to a baby girl in Disneyland.
  • 1985 - Lesotho issues ten postage stamps depicting Disney characters in Mark Twain quotes or characters from the Brothers Grimm story The Wishing Table.
  • 1988 - Uganda issues ten postage stamps marking the 60th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, in Christmas scenes.
  • 1988 - The Company D cast member store opens at Disneyland.
  • 1988 - Disney acquires KHJ-TV, an independent television station in Los Angeles, for US$320 million.
  • 1988 - Disney releases the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit to theaters in the United Kingdom.
  • 1989 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Premiere Film Spooner.
  • 1991 - In France, a government labor inspector lodges a formal complaint against Euro Disneyland regarding its strict appearance code in employment contracts.
  • 1992 - Disney reports videotape sales of the film Beauty and the Beast have surpassed 14.2 million units, making it the best selling video ever.
  • 1994 - Disney releases the animated feature film The Lion King to theaters in Finland and Portugal.
  • 1996 - Maldives issues 36 postage stamps depicting scenes from Pluto and the Flypaper, and The Little Whirlwind.
  • 1997 - Buena Vista Home Entertainment releases the film George of the Jungle on videocassette.
  • 2001 - The TV show The Wonderful World of Disney airs, showing Brian's Song.
  • 2001 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
    • A character mentions Scrooge McDuck.
    • A couple eating spaghetti share a common noodle, like in the Disney film Lady and the Tramp.

  • 2003 - Touchstone releases the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on DVD for US$29.98 in the US.
  • 2008 - Disney releases The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on DVD and Blu-Ray in the USA and Canada.
