  • 1932 - The Silly Symphony film Santa's Workshop is released to theaters. The film was produced in color.
  • 1937 - Disney releases the first Donald Duck film, Donald's Ostrich, to theaters.
  • 1939 - The first Sunday color Donald Duck comic strip is published, written by Bob Karp, drawn by Al Taliaferro.
  • 1961 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Kids is Kids with Ludwig von Drake.
  • 1967 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring A Boy Called Nuthin', part one.
  • 1969 - Disney releases the live-action and animated short film It's Tough to be a Bird to theatres.
  • 1978 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled Christmas at Walt Disney World.
  • 1984 - Bhutan issues eleven postage stamps marking the 50th anniversary of Donald Duck.
  • 1984 - The NBC TV network airs the Disney film Mickey's Christmas Carol.
  • 1989 - The NBC TV network airs The Magical World of Disney show, featuring A Mother's Courage: The Mary Thomas Story, part two.
  • 1992 - The National Hockey League votes unanimously to expand to Anaheim, California, approving a new team, "The Mighty Ducks", owned by The Walt Disney Company.
  • 1992 - The Disney TV special Best of Country '92: Countdown at the Neon Armadillo airs.
  • 1993 - The Living with the Land boat ride begins operation in The Land pavilion in Epcot Center.
  • 1993 - The Greenhouse Tours walking tour opens in The Land in Epcot Center.
  • 1993 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit to theaters in the US.
  • 1994 - The ABC TV network airs the two-hour special Wonderful World of Disney: 40 Years of Television Magic.
  • 1995 - Disney releases the film The Lion King on laserdisc in Japan, for 15000 Yen.
  • 1995 - Disney releases the animated film compilation Donald Duck: A Star is Born is on laserdisc in Japan, for 15,000 Yen. It includes: The Wise Little Hen, The Band Concert, Don Donald, Donald and Pluto, Modern Inventions, Boat Builders, Good Scouts, The Hockey Champ, Fire Chief, The Riveter, The Clock Watcher, Cured Duck, Mr. Duck Steps Out, Frank Duck Brings Em' Back Alive, Bee at the Beach, Rugged Bear, Chip an' Dale, Corn Chips, Out of Scale, Up a Tree.
  • 1996 - Disney releases the film The Rock on videocassette for US$107.11, and on laserdisc for US$39.99.
  • 1999 - An official agreement is signed between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and the Walt Disney Company regarding the building and operating of Hong Kong Disneyland.
  • 1999 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo to theaters in the USA.
  • 2010 - Disney Cruise Line takes possession of the Disney Dream cruise ship from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany.
