  • 1934 - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer releases the film Babes in Toyland to theaters in the USA. A costumed child dressed like Mickey Mouse appears.
  • 1935 - The Silly Symphony film Broken Toys is released to theaters.
  • 1951 - The Donald Duck film Bee on Guard is released.
  • 1955 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, featuring the fifth "Davy Crockett" episode, Davy Crockett and the River Pirates.
  • 1961 - Buena Vista releases Disney's first live-action musical feature film Babes in Toyland to theaters. The film is based on the operetta by Victor Herbert and Glen McDonough.
  • 1968 - The Board of Directors of the Sierra Club authorizes the filing of a lawsuit against the U.S Forest Service to prevent Disney's proposed Mineral King ski resort.
  • 1973 - Buena Vista world premieres the live-action feature film Superdad in selected theaters in Los Angeles.
  • 1974 - The NBC TV network airs NBC Nights at the Movies featuring The Three Lives of Thomasina.
  • 1984 - Disney releases the short film Frankenweenie to theaters in Los Angeles.
  • 1986 - The two hour TV movie The Christmas Star airs.
  • 1986 - The Big Thunder Barbecue restaurant opens in Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland at Disneyland.
  • 1991 - The ABC TV network airs the film Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too.
  • 1994 - Disney releases the Disney Sing Along Songs film compilation The Lion King - Circle of Life on laserdisc in the US, for US$25.
  • 1994 - Touchstone Home Video releases the film Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas as a Deluxe CAV laserdisc Edition, for US$100. It also includes The Making of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Vincent, and Frankenweenie.
  • 2001 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film The Royal Tenenbaums to theaters in the USA.
  • 2004 - Touchstone releases the film Mary Poppins: 40th Anniversary Edition on DVD in the USA. Price is US$29.99.
  • 2004 - Disney releases the DisneyToon Studios short film The Cat that Looked at a King on DVD.
  • 2004 - Disney releases the film The Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement on videocassette and DVD in the USA.
  • 2008 - Turner Classic Movies airs The Age of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics on TV.
  • 2014 - The ABC TV network airs the special Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years.
  • 2017 - The Walt Disney Company announces that it will acquire most of 21st Century Fox, including the 20th Century Fox film studio, for $66 billion.
