  • 1929 - Walt Disney sends a second batch of six Mickey Mouse comic strips to King Features.
  • 1933 - Walt Disney receives an award from Parents magazine for the creation of Mickey Mouse.
  • 1941 - Walt Disney is called to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Treasury Department and the IRS. Walt is asked to provide a film to promote paying taxes, to be completed by the end of February, 1942.
  • 1942 - The Donald Duck film Bellboy Donald is released to theaters.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring the ninth "Tales of Texas John Slaughter" episode, Range War at Tombstone.
  • 1960 - The Christmas in Many Lands parade begins this season's performances at Disneyland.
  • 1960 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled Escape to Paradise, showing portions of the films Swiss Family Robinson and Water Birds.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Disneyland Around the Seasons.
  • 1976 - Buena Vista releases the live-action feature film The Shaggy D.A. to theaters. The film is a sequel to the 1959 film The Shaggy Dog.
  • 1979 - Buena Vista premieres the film The Black Hole in London, England.
  • 1988 - The NBC TV network airs The Magical World of Disney show, entitled Davy Crockett: A Natural Man.
  • 1989 - Sierra Leone issues ten postage stamps depicting Disney characters in classic cars.
  • 1991 - Disney and Jim Henson Productions sign an agreement for Disney to distribute Henson film productions on home video, for the next five to six years.
  • 1992 - The It's a Small World Toy Shoppe opens in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
  • 1992 - Warner Bros. Finland releases the film Beauty and the Beast to theaters in Finland.
  • 1993 - The ABC TV network airs A Musical Christmas at Walt Disney World.
  • 1994 - The Golden Horseshoe Jamboree closes at Disneyland.
  • 1994 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. Characters watch film Alive! about surviving a plane crash and cannibalizing the co-pilot, with Spanish accents, similar to Disney's film Alive.
  • 2001 - Disney premieres the film Beauty and the Beast in giant screen theaters.
  • 2001 - Disney releases The Princess Diaries on videocassette.
  • 2007 - The CBS TV network airs the last Cane TV episode.
  • 2009 - The film Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and Abraham Lincoln audio-animatronic re-open in the Main Street Opera House on Main Street USA in Disneyland.
