  • 1926 - Disney signs a contract with Winkler Pictures, allowing the Alice Comedy series to be released by Film Booking Offices, starting in September.
  • 1932 - Disney completes the Mickey Mouse film The Grocery Boy. Pluto and Minnie Mouse also appear.
  • 1936 - In England, Odhams Press first publishes Mickey Mouse Weekly. 375,000 copies of the first issue are sold.
  • 1943 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film Bambi for an Oscar Award in the category Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.
  • 1943 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the song "Love is a Song" from the film Bambi for an Oscar Award in the category Music, Best Song.
  • 1943 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film Der Fuehrer's Face for an Oscar Award in the category Short Subjects, Cartoons.
  • 1943 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film The Grain that Built a Hemisphere for an Oscar Award in the category Short Subjects, Documentary.
  • 1943 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film The New Spirit for an Oscar Award in the category Short Subjects, Documentary.
  • 1952 - Disney releases the animated film Lambert, the Sheepish Lion to theaters.
  • 1953 - Walt Disney appears as a guest on the TV show Toast of the Town.
  • 1956 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Survival in Nature.
  • 1967 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action feature film Monkeys, Go Home! to theaters. The film is based on the book The Monkeys by G.K. Wilkinson.
  • 1968 - Buena Vista releases the live-action feature film Blackbeard's Ghost to theaters.
  • 1970 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring Smoke, part two.
  • 1980 - Buena Vista releases the live-action feature film Midnight Madness to theaters.
  • 1983 - The CBS TV network airs the Walt Disney show, entitled A Valentine from Disney.
  • 1987 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled The Liberators.
  • 1990 - At a movie industry convention in Las Vegas, Disney announces that beginning in March its theater film licensing agreements will not allow commercials to be shown with its releases.
  • 1997 - Disney previews the Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film That Darn Cat at FAO Schwarz in New York City.
  • 2001 - In Anaheim, California, Disney's California Adventure theme park opens, next to Disneyland. The 55-acre site includes three areas: Paradise Pier, Hollywood Pictures Backlot, and the Golden State. The theme park cost US$1.4 billion to build. Admission prices are US$43 for adults, and US$33 for children.
  • 2001 - The Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill restaurant opens at Pacific Wharf in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Corn Dog Castle restaurant opens in Paradise Pier in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream shop opens in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Boudin Bakery attraction opens in Pacific Wharf in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Baker's Field Bakery opens in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Award Weiners restaurant opens in Hollywood Land in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The Avalon Cove restaurant opens at Paradise Pier in Disney's California Adventure. Operated by Wolfgang Puck.
  • 2001 - The California Screamin' roller coaster opens in the Paradise Pier area of Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2001 - The ABC Soap Opera Bistro restaurant opens in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot in Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2002 - At the first anniversary of the opening of Disney's California Adventure theme park, Disneyland Resort president Cynthia Harriss and Walt Disney Imagineering senior vice president Barry Braverman announce plans for the park's expansion.
  • 2003 - The Jungle Book Carnival begins at Disneyland Paris, running for a month.
  • 2007 - The name of Buena Vista Games is changed to Disney Interactive Studios.
