  • 1997 - The Walt Disney Company holds its annual shareholders meeting in Anaheim, California. Michael Eisner says that hiring Michael Ovitz as president had been a personal error of judgement. 12 percent of shareholders oppose reappointment of the board of directors. Eisner's pay package is approved by almost 90%.
  • 2001 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs the Futurama TV show in the US. A sign on a tour bus in Hollywood says "Star Tours", a reference to the Disneyland attraction.
  • 2004 - The California Public Employees Retirement Systems pension fund manager announces it would cast its votes against Michael Eisner at the upcoming shareholder meeting.
  • 2007 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Achievement in Visual Effects) to John Knoll, Hal Hickel, Charles Gibson, and Allen Hall for the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
  • 2010 - The Walt Disney Pictures film Alice in Wonderland world premieres in London England.
  • 2013 - ABC Family TV network airs the final Bunheads TV show.
  • 2020 - Bob Chapek becomes CEO of Disney.
