- 1955 - Disney releases the special cartoon Contrasts in Rhythm to theaters. It combines Bumble Boogie and Trees from the film Melody Time.
- 1960 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, entitled This is Your Life, Donald Duck.
- 1962 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring The Prince and the Pauper, part one: The Pauper King.
- 1964 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action feature film A Tiger Walks to theaters. The film is based on a novel by Ian Niall.
- 1973 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled The Little Shepherd Dog of Catalina.
- 1977 - In the case of the Sierra Club against the U.S. Forest Service over Disney's proposed Mineral King ski resort, Judge Sweinert dismisses the suit for "lack of prosecution", as his last involvement in it had been in 1972. After twelve years in the courts and with much negative public opinion, the project is essentially abandoned.
- 1977 - Buena Vista releases the animated feature film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. This is a compilation of three previously released short films, with new animation linking them together.
- 1977 - Buena Vista releases the live-action feature film The Littlest Horse Thieves to theaters in the US. The film was previously released in Great Britain as Escape From the Dark.
- 1983 - Disney releases the animated short film Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore to theaters. The entire film had been animated by Rick Reinert Productions. This is the first animated Disney film since 1938 that was completely produced outside the company.
- 1983 - Buena Vista releases the live-action feature film Trenchcoat to theaters in the US.
- 1990 - The NBC TV network airs The Magical World of Disney show, entitled Sky High.
- 1994 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film The Ref to theaters.
- 1999 - The Gambia issues ten postage stamps depicting scenes from The Jungle Book film.
- 2001 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs the Futurama TV show in the US. A character says he's "only one skull short of a Mouseketeer reunion".

- 2006 - The soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical tops the Billboard album chart. Total sales worldwide: over 7 million copies.
- 2009 - At the 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, Disney announces the names of the company's two new cruise ships: Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Each ship will have 1,250 staterooms and will each be 128,000 tons.
- 2009 - The live action film Race to Witch Mountain premieres at the El Capitan Theatre in California.
- 2010 - Disney introduces the Disney Premier Passport, for use at all parks at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
