  • 1928 - Universal Pictures releases the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film Bright Lights to theaters.
  • 1946 - Disney delivers the educational film Bathing Time for Baby to Johnson & Johnson.
  • 1948 - The Mickey Mouse film Mickey Down Under is released. Pluto also appears.
  • 1953 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Short Subjects, Two Reels) for the film Water Birds.
  • 1958 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Magic and Music.
  • 1959 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action feature film The Shaggy Dog to theaters. It cost US$1 million to make. This is Disney's first live-action comedy film. The film is based on the novel The Hound of Florence by Felix Salten.
  • 1959 - Disney releases the fifteenth People and Places film, Cruise of the Eagle, to theaters.
  • 1959 - Disney releases the live-action short film Nature's Strangest Creatures to theaters.
  • 1961 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring "Daniel Boone: Episode IV. The Promised Land".
  • 1967 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring Atta Girl, Kelly! part three: The Seeing Eye.
  • 1972 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled Chango, Guardian of the Mayan Treasure.
  • 1978 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled Trail of Danger, part two.
  • 1988 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Premier Film Save the Dog.
  • 1988 - Disneyland is host to the first Blast to the Past celebration, with a parade, Main Street Hop show, Super Hooper Duper hula-hoop event, and original 1950s/60s entertainers.
  • 1989 - At Disneyland, the Skyway ride shuts itself off after riders in one car vigorously rocked it.
  • 1992 - The Parkside Wagon food location opens in Tokyo Disneyland.
  • 1995 - The Penny Arcade attraction in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World closes.
  • 1995 - The House of Magic shop in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World closes.
  • 1995 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Premiere Film The Old Curiosity Shop, part one.
  • 2000 - The TV show The Wonderful World of Disney features the film The Pooch and the Pauper.
  • 2000 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A character hopes to make a fortune through a lawsuit over "the spider bite at Disneyland".
  • 2002 - Disney releases the animated film The Hunchback of Notre Dame II on videocassette and DVD in the US.
  • 2004 - The Disney Channel airs the Disney Channel Original Movie Going to the Mat/
  • 2006 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A scene takes place at an old mill, with similarities to the Disney short film The Old Mill.
