  • 1925 - Disney completes the 15th Alice Comedy film, Alice's Egg Plant.
  • 1930 - George Borgfeldt & Company of New York issues its first Disney merchandising license to Walkburger, Tanner and Company of St. Gall, Switzerland, for manufacturing handkerchiefs featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
  • 1931 - Disney completes the Mickey Mouse film The Castaway.
  • 1952 - The Burbank Daily Review reports on the first public announcement of a proposed US$1.5 million development called Disneyland at the corner of Riverside and Buena Vista roads.
  • 1957 - Ingersoll-Waterbury presents Walt Disney with the 25-millionth Mickey Mouse watch.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Donald's Award. Jiminy Cricket also appears.
  • 1958 - The third locomotive for the Disneyland railroad makes its first test run around the park.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring an expanded version of the film Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom.
  • 1961 - The Snow White Wishing Well and Grotto opens in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring A Tiger Walks, part two.
  • 1984 - Disney increases its line of credit with the Bank of America and other banks from US$300 million to US$1.3 billion.
  • 1987 - The ABC TV network airs the last episode of the Disney TV show Harry.
  • 1987 - The ABC TV network airs the show Waco & Rhinehart as a pilot for a series.
  • 1989 - The Walt Disney World Casting Center building opens.
  • 1994 - The CBS TV network airs the film The Corpse Had a Familiar Face.
  • 1995 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role) to Martin Landau for his role in the film Ed Wood.
  • 1995 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Achievement in Makeup) to Rick Baker, Ve Neill, and Yolanda Toussieng for the film Ed Wood.
  • 1995 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Achievement in Music (Original Score)) to Hans Zimmer for the film The Lion King.
  • 1995 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Achievement in Music (Original Song)) to Elton John (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics) for the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from the film The Lion King.
  • 1996 - Disney releases the film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh on videocassette and laserdisc in the US.
  • 1996 - The ABC TV network airs the last Buddies TV show.
  • 2001 - Disney announces it will reduce its workforce by 4000 jobs by the end of July, to reduce costs.
  • 2004 - Touchstone world premieres the film The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.
  • 2007 - Disney Interactive Studios releases the Meet the Robinsons video game for the PlayStation 2 in the USA.
  • 2010 - The live musical show Villains Tonight! premieres aboard the Disney Magic.
