  • 1955 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Documentary, Features) for the film The Vanishing Prairie.
  • 1981 - Anguilla issues ten postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in Easter outfits.
  • 1986 - The CBS TV network airs The CBS Easter Parade, which includes part of the Walt Disney World Easter Parade.
  • 1987 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Best Actor) to Paul Newman for his role in the film The Color of Money.

  • 1993 - The Disney Vacation Development Inc. company announces plans to build a 440-unit time-share resort in Florida, 95 miles south-east at Walt Disney World.
  • 1994 - Disney releases the laserdisc Tales from Avonlea Volume 3 for US$30. It includes The Witch of Avonlea and Nothing Endures but Change.
  • 1994 - Disney releases the laserdisc Tales from Avonlea Volume 4 for US$30. It includes How Kissing was Discovered and Aunt Heddy's Ordeal.
  • 1996 - The Mike Fink Keel Boats ride returns to operation in Frontierland at Disneyland, after closing in fall 1994.
  • 2001 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US. The entire episode is about playing in a virtual reality video game. Characters in the game appear similar to those in the Disney film TRON.
  • 2003 - The first Walt Disney World In-Line Marathon is held, through Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Boardwalk Resort, and Epcot.
  • 2004 - Touchstone releases the film Brother Bear on videocassette and DVD.
  • 2007 - Disney releases the animated film Meet the Robinsons to theaters in the US.
