  • 1959 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Documentary, Features) for the film White Wilderness.
  • 1960 - Disney releases the sixteenth People and Places film, Japan, to theaters.
  • 1983 - The Disney-produced TV show Zorro and Son first airs on CBS.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled I-Man.

  • 1991 - The Disney Channel begins airing the animated series Darkwing Duck.
  • 1993 - The NBC TV network airs the two-hour movie Miracle Child. The film is based on the novel Miracle at Clement's Pond by Patricia Pendergraft.
  • 1994 - Tanzania issues fifteen postage stamps depicting various Disney characters.
  • 1997 - The Captain EO film in Tomorrowland at Disneyland closes.
  • 2000 - Albania issues four postage stamps depicting Donald Duck.
  • 2001 - Albania issues four postage stamps depicting Goofy.
  • 2001 - Disney releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Just Visiting to theaters in the USA.
  • 2007 - At Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World, the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund donates US$100,000 each to five conservation celebrities: John Cleese, Isabella Rosellini, Wangari Maathai, Ian Douglas-Hamilton, and Jane Goodall.
