  • 1927 - Walt delivers the first Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon, Poor Papa, to Charles Mintz in New York. The reviewers are unimpressed, complaining that the rabbit is old, sloppy, and fat.
  • 1930 - The Mickey Mouse film The Barnyard Concert is released.
  • 1942 - The Donald Duck film Donald's Snow Fight is released to theaters. Huey, Dewey, and Louie also appear.
  • 1942 - The film Fantasia is generally released in theaters.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled People of the Desert. The films Navajo Adventure and The Blue Men of Morocco are shown.
  • 1961 - The Monorail is temporarily shut down for extension to the Disneyland Hotel.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Concho, the Coyote Who Wasn't.
  • 1972 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Special Visual Effects) for the film Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
  • 1974 - The TV special Sandy in Disneyland airs, starring Sandy Duncan.
  • 1982 - The CBS TV network airs the Walt Disney show, entitled The Adventures of Pollyanna.
  • 1984 - Bhutan issues eleven postage stamps depicting various Disney characters and the history of communications.
  • 1984 - The Silhouette Studio shop opens in Tokyo Disneyland.
  • 1986 - Romania issues ten postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in The Band Concert, marking the 50th anniversary of color animated films.
  • 1987 - Disney releases the film Flight of the Navigator to theaters in the UK.
  • 1987 - Disney releases the animated film The Gummi Bears: Faster Than a Speeding Tummi to theaters in England.
  • 1988 - The America Sings attraction in the carousel theater in Tomorrowland at Disneyland closes.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film Newsies to theaters.
  • 1992 - The Grand Inauguration of the hotels at Euro Disneyland takes place.
  • 1994 - The Stargate fast-food facility at EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World closes.
  • 1999 - The Disney Channel premieres the Disney Channel Original Movie Can of Worms.
  • 2006 - Disney says it will begin allowing the download of television shows from Web site abc.com, for a two month trial period.
