  • 1938 - Walt's agent contacts Igor Stravinsky's publisher, asking for the film rights to "The Firebird".
  • 1945 - Disney delivers the film Prevention and Control of Distortion in Arc Welding to the Lincoln Electrical Company.
  • 1946 - The Pluto film Pluto's Kid Brother is released to theaters.
  • 1964 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring the film Jungle Cat.
  • 1987 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled Bride of Boogedy. It is a sequel to the film Mr. Boogedy.
  • 1991 - The Grand Opening day of Euro Disneyland is announced: April 12, 1992.
  • 1992 - The Euro Disney Resort, featuring the Euro Disneyland park, opens in Marne-la-Vallée, France, east of Paris. The US$4 billion complex has six hotels with 5200 rooms, and is staffed by 14,000 "cast members". Euro Disneyland park has 29 attractions in five themed lands: Adventureland, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Festival Disney, Frontierland, and Main Street. 500,000 visitors were expected, but only 50,000 are admitted on opening day.
  • 1992 - The Adventureland area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, Les Cabane des Robinson attraction, Adventure Isle area, Captain Hook's Galley restaurant, Blue Lagoon Restaurant, Aux Epices Enchantees restaurant, Café de la Brousse restaurant, and Explorer's Club restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Discoveryland area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Star Tours attraction, Orbitron - Machines Volantes attraction, Videopolis stage, Cinémagique theater showing the film Captain Eo, Café Hyperion restaurant, and Café des Visionnaires restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Fantasyland area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin ferris wheel attraction, Peter Pan's Flight attraction, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups attraction, Alice's Curious Labyrinth maze attraction, Dumbo Flying Elephants attraction, It's a Small World attraction, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains attraction, Les Voyages de Pinocchio attraction, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant attraction, Le Carrousel de Lancelot attraction, Toad Hall Restaurant, Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant, Au Chalet de la Marionnette restaurant, and the Pizzeria Bella Notte restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Festival Disney area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, L.A. Bar and Grill restaurant, Key West Seafood restaurant, and Annette's Diner restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Frontierland area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Cottonwood Creek Ranch Critter Corral attraction, Mark Twain Riverboat attraction, River Rogue Keelboats attraction, Pueblo Trading Post shop, Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery attraction, Indian Canoes attraction, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing attraction, Phantom Manor attraction, Silver Spur Steakhouse restaurant, Cowboy Cookout Barbecue restaurant, Fuente del Oro Restaurante, Lucky Nugget Saloon restaurant, Thunder Mesa Mercantile Building, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction, and Last Chance Café restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Main Street area at Euro Disneyland opens. It includes Coffee Grinder restaurant, Cookie Kitchen restaurant, Fire Truck vehicle, Omnibus vehicle, Horse-Drawn Streetcars, Cable Car Bake Shop, Boardwalk Candy Palace shop, Disney & Co. shop, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour, Market House Deli shop, Casey's Corner shop, Plaza East Boutique shop, Plaza West Boutique shop, Harrington's Fine China & Porcelains shop, Ribbons & Bows Hat Shop, Harmony Barber Shop, Storybook Store, Glass Fantasies shop, Walt's - An American Restaurant, Victoria's Home-Style Cooking restaurant, and Plaza Gardens Restaurant.
  • 1992 - The Emporium store opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Disneyland Hotel opens at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Hotel New York hotel opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Hotel Santa Fe hotel opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Newport Bay Club hotel opens at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - Le Visionarium Circle-Vision attraction opens in Discoveryland at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Circle-Vision film From Time to Time opens in the Visionarium theater at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Steakhouse restaurant opens in the Disney Village at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Autopia attraction opens in Discoveryland in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Disney Clothiers shop opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Disneyana Shop opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Big Thunder Mountain attraction opens in Euro Disneyland.
  • 1992 - The Camp Davy Crockett campground opens at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1993 - One year after its opening, Euro Disneyland has welcomed 10.5 million guests.
  • 1994 - The ABC TV network airs the last episode of the Disney TV series The Good Life.
  • 1995 - The 'Ohana restaurant opens in the Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World.
  • 1995 - The CBS TV network airs the last episode of Disney's The George Wendt Show.
  • 1996 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Walt Disney Pictures stop-motion animation feature film James and the Giant Peach to theaters in the US.
  • 1996 - The Gambia issues eight postage stamps depicting various Disney characters performing good deeds.
  • 1997 - The bow half of the Disney Magic cruise ship leaves drydock of Fincontieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy, to meet with the stern section 100 miles away in Marghera.
  • 2000 - Comedy Central airs the South Park TV show in the USA. Someone says "I wanna bust out too... and see Disneyland."
  • 2015 - The film Captain EO ceases playing in Disneyland Paris.
