  • 1942 - The Pluto film The Army Mascot is released to theaters.
  • 1955 - ABC camera crews begin rehearsing every Sunday at Disneyland.
  • 1977 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled The Bluegrass Special.
  • 1984 - After two days of discussions, Disney and Bally Manufacturing executives decide there is nothing they can do to help each other.
  • 1984 - The Federal Trade Commission and the Justice Department give their approval to Saul Steinberg to increase his holdings of Disney stock to 25 percent.
  • 1986 - Dominica issues five postage stamps featuring Disney characters and stamp collecting.
  • 1986 - Grenada issues ten postage stamps depicting various Disney characters playing baseball.
  • 1986 - Lesotho issues five postage stamps depicting various Disney characters.
  • 1986 - Maldives issues ten postage stamps depicting US stamps and Disney portrayals of American legends.
  • 1987 - The NBC TV network airs the TV special Disney's Golden Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
  • 1987 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Ernest Goes To Camp to theaters in the US.
  • 1988 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled Meet the Munceys. The show is a pilot for a proposed series.
  • 1991 - Dominica issues ten postage stamps depicting Disney characters in Japanese costumes.
  • 1992 - Hollywood Pictures releases the live-action feature film Encino Man to theatres.
  • 1998 - Tomorrowland at Disneyland re-opens after extensive remodelling.
  • 1998 - The Rocket Rods attraction opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. It occupies the old PeopleMover track.
  • 1998 - The American Space Experience exhibit opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1998 - The Astro Orbitor attraction opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1998 - The 3D film Honey, I Shrunk the Audience debuts in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1998 - The Spirit of Refreshment beverage stand opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1998 - DisneyQuest opens at Downtown Disney West Side in Walt Disney World. It provides five stories of high-tech attractions, including Explore Zone, Create Zone, and Replay Zone.
  • 2001 - Disney holds a dedication ceremony at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in Walt Disney World.
  • 2003 - Disney completes the sale of the Anaheim Angels baseball team to Arte Moreno for US$185 million.
  • 2003 - The film Reflections of China debuts in the China pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot in Walt Disney World.
  • 2006 - The ABC TV network ceases airing the Alias show.
  • 2009 - Disney makes a limited release of the film The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story to theaters in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and Palm Springs, California.
  • 2015 - At 6AM, the Diamond Celebration begins in Disneyland Resort for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland.
