  • 1924 - Walt Disney contacts Ubbe Iwwerks in Kansas City, and asks him to come work with him in Hollywood. Ubbe initially turns down the US$40 per week offer, as he is already making US$50 per week at the Kansas City Film Ad company.
  • 1924 - M.J. Winkler Productions releases the Alice Comedy film Alice's Fishy Story to theaters.
  • 1934 - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer releases the film Hollywood Party to theaters. An animated Mickey Mouse argues with Jimmy Durante, and plays a piano. This is the first feature film appearance of Mickey Mouse. The film also includes a Disney-animated sequence entitled "The Hot Chocolate Soldier".
  • 1935 - The Ingersoll-Waterbury Company reports that it produced 2.5 million Mickey Mouse watches during its 2-year association with Disney.
  • 1961 - The Disneyland Monorail re-opens, extended to the Disneyland Hotel, crossing over West Street. This extends the line from 0.8 to 2.5 miles. A third train is added. All engines are replaced by Mark II versions.
  • 1981 - The EPCOT Preview Center in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World begins showing the film A Dream Called EPCOT.
  • 1982 - At Walt Disney World, the monorail line is extended from the Ticket and Transportation Center to EPCOT Center.
  • 1983 - The CBS TV network resumes airing Small & Frye.
  • 1983 - The CBS TV network airs the last episode of Zorro and Son. Only five episodes were aired.
  • 1984 - Stanley Gold meets with Ray Watson and Ron Miller to discuss what it would take to get Roy Disney back on the board of directors. Gold proposes that Roy and others be allowed to join the board.
  • 1984 - A Federal court rules in Disney's favor over Reliance Group Holdings, allowing the Arvida purchase to go through.
  • 1987 - The If You Had Wings attraction in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World closes.
  • 1989 - Typhoon Lagoon water park opens at Walt Disney World, covering 56 acres.
  • 1993 - The Splashdown Photos shop opens at the Splash Mountain exit in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
  • 1995 - The Space Mountain: de la Terre à la Lune attraction opens at Disneyland Paris.
  • 2002 - The Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction re-opens in Epcot Center at Walt Disney World.
  • 2009 - The Treehouse Villas opens at Disney's Sarasota Springs Resort and Spa in Florida, part of Disney's Vacation Club.
  • 2010 - The name of Cinderella's Golden Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is changed to Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
