  • 1928 - Universal Pictures releases the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film Sky Scrappers to theaters.
  • 1929 - Walt Disney's trademark application for the image of Mickey Mouse is filed with the United States Patent Office.
  • 1943 - Work on the film The Good Samaritan is canceled.
  • 1945 - Disney delivers the film Something You Didn't Eat for the Cereal Institute (Office of War Information, War Food Administration).
  • 1958 - Disney releases the 12th People and Places film, Scotland, to theaters.
  • 1960 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action feature film The Sign of Zorro to theaters in the US. The film was made by splicing together several episodes of Disney's TV show Zorro.
  • 1961 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring The Title Makers, the film Nature's Half Acre, and a preview of the film The Parent Trap.
  • 1969 - Disney releases the live-action featurette film Hang Your Hat on the Wind to theatres.
  • 1969 - Disney releases the live-action feature film Rascal to theatres. The film is based on the book by Sterling North.
  • 1977 - The Main Street Electrical Parade premieres in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
  • 1983 - The Refreshment Outpost snack bar opens in World Showcase in EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World.
  • 1984 - The Disney board of directors votes to approve the buyback of Saul Steinberg's stock.
  • 1987 - The Disney Gallery opens in New Orleans Square at Disneyland.
  • 1989 - The NBC TV network airs The Magical World of Disney show, entitled Davy Crockett: A Letter to Polly.
  • 1992 - The film Beauty and the Beast is released to theaters in Australia.
  • 1993 - Disney generally releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film What's Love Got to Do with It to theaters in the US.
  • 1993 - The CBS TV Network premieres the TV series Cutters.
  • 1996 - Touchstone Home Video releases the film Father of the Bride, Part II on laserdisc for US$39.99.
  • 2007 - The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage attraction opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 2012 - ABC Family TV network premieres the Bunheads TV show.
