  • 1935 - The Silly Symphony film Who Killed Cock Robin? is released to theaters.
  • 1945 - The Donald Duck film Donald's Crime is released to theaters.
  • 1951 - The Goofy film Tomorrow We Diet is released.
  • 1966 - Buena Vista releases the live-action short film Run, Appaloosa, Run to theaters.
  • 1974 - The America Sings attraction opens in the Carousel Theater in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1981 - The Broadway at the Top show opens in the Top of the World at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World.
  • 1984 - Roy Disney informs the Securities and Exchange Commission that he now owns 5.2 percent of Disney stock.
  • 1984 - Disney releases the film Splash to theaters in the UK.
  • 1990 - The Bonanza Outfitters shop opens in Frontierland at Disneyland, in place of the Pendleton Woolen Mills Dry Goods Store.
  • 1990 - Disney announces it is forming a children's book publishing company.
  • 1991 - Antigua & Barbuda issues ten postage stamps depicting Disney characters demonstrating Japanese martial arts.
  • 1994 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Touchstone Pictures / Caravan Pictures live-action feature film I Love Trouble to theaters.
  • 1998 - The live-action feature film Armageddon premieres at the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida.
  • 2000 - The new Chevron Autopia attraction opens in Disneyland. It incorporates area formerly occupied by both previous Autopia attractions.
  • 2000 - In New York City, Sotheby's auctions seven art pieces specially-created for Fantasia/2000. Each had been commissioned by the Walt Disney Studio, one for each new segment in the film.
  • 2000 - The Autopia Winner's Circle shop opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 2001 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Crazy/Beautiful to theaters in the USA.
  • 2007 - Disney releases the Pixar animated film Ratatouille to theaters in North America.

  • 1908 - Birth of John Hench, in Iowa; joined Disney Studios in 1939 as artist and story editor, designed Disneyland projects, Walt Disney World plans, Tokyo Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, Animal Kingdom, named a Disney Legend in 1990.
