  • 1927 - The Criterion Theatre in Los Angeles premieres the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film Trolley Troubles.
  • 1936 - David Hilberman begins work at the Disney studio.
  • 1949 - Filming begins in England on Treasure Island.
  • 1955 - A pre-opening party is held at the Disneyland site for employees.
  • 1956 - The Indian War Canoes attraction begins operation in Frontierland at Disneyland.
  • 1962 - The Indian Trading Post shop opens in Frontierland at Disneyland.
  • 1975 - Buena Vista Distribution releases the Walt Disney Productions live-action feature film The Apple Dumpling Gang to theaters in the US. The film is based on a book by Jack M. Bickham.
  • 1979 - The first baby is born at Disneyland, Teresa Salcedo, born to Rosa and Elias Salcedo of Los Angeles.
  • 1984 - The World Premiere Circle-Vision theater opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland, sponsored by PSA. Previous name of the theater was Circle-Vision 360. The pre-show attraction film is All Because Man Wanted to Fly, with main film being American Journeys.
  • 1986 - In Disneyland, the Country Bear Jamboree is renamed Country Bear Playhouse.
  • 1987 - The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction opens in Westernland at Tokyo Disneyland.
  • 1991 - The CBS TV network airs the two-hour TV special Disney's Great American Celebration.
  • 1992 - The CBS TV network airs the show Celebrate the Spirit! Disney's All-Star 4th of July Spectacular.
  • 1994 - The Les Mystères du Nautilus attraction opens in Discoveryland at Euro Disneyland.
  • 1998 - In Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mickey's Hometown Parade is performed. A resident of the city was the first-prize winner in an essay contest.
  • 1999 - David Geffen (of DreamWorks SKG) and Stanley Gold (on Disney board of directors) negotiate a settlement for the breach-of-contract lawsuit filed by Jeffrey Katzenberg against Disney. Katzenberg is paid an undisclosed amount (US$280 million) for a two percent bonus in perpetuity from all film and TV shows produced or acquired while he was at Disney.
  • 1999 - The Bear in the Big Blue House Show begins performances in Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World.
  • 2001 - Comedy Central airs the South Park TV show in the USA. The Master Control Program from the film Tron is used to represent a computer interface.
  • 2006 - The show Encore! closes at the Broadway Music Theater in Tokyo DisneySea.
  • 2014 - The Alice In Wonderland ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland re-opens with new special effects and other enhancements.
