  • 1925 - Disney completes the 20th Alice Comedy film, Alice's Tin Pony.
  • 1928 - Universal Pictures releases the 25th Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film Sleigh Bells to theaters.
  • 1941 - Walt Disney accepts an offer by the Conciliation Service of the Department of Labor to provide binding arbitration.
  • 1953 - The True-Life Adventure film Prowlers of the Everglades is released to theaters.
  • 1953 - RKO Radio Pictures releases Disney's live-action feature film The Sword and the Rose to theaters. The film is based on the book When Knighthood Was in Flower by Charles Major, and was filmed in Great Britain.
  • 1956 - The Junior Autopia ride opens in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
  • 1969 - In the case of the Sierra Club against the U.S. Forest Service over Disney's proposed Mineral King ski resort, judge William Sweigert issues a preliminary injunction halting work on the project pending the outcome of the trial.
  • 1981 - Disney releases the film Herbie Goes Bananas to theaters in the UK.
  • 1983 - The film Kingdom of Dreams and Magic - Tokyo Disneyland is released in Japan.
  • 1984 - Irwin Jacobs calls Ray Watson, recommending that Disney kill the Gibson Greetings deal. Watson refuses.
  • 1986 - An Orange County Superior Court orders Disneyland to pay US$600,000 to the family of Mel Yorba, who was murdered at the park in 1981. The jury found park officials negligent in their treatment of the injured youth.
  • 1993 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Another Stakeout to theaters in the US.
  • 1994 - The Country Address fashion shop in the Disney Village Marketplace at Walt Disney World closes.
  • 1994 - Buena Vista International releases the animated feature film The Lion King to theaters in Japan.
  • 1999 - Buena Vista Pictures generally releases the film Inspector Gadget to theaters in the USA.
  • 2004 - In San Diego, California, the Comic-Con International convention is held. An exclusive sneak peek preview is held of the film The Incredibles, attended by director Brad Bird and producer John Walker.
