  • 1930 - The Silly Symphony film Midnight in a Toy Shop is completed.
  • 1931 - The Silly Symphony film The Cat's Out is released to theaters. The name on the copyright registration is The Cat's Nightmare.
  • 1942 - Walt Disney first meets with Major Alexander de Seversky, author of Victory Through Air Power, to purchase the film rights and commence work on a feature film based on the book.
  • 1951 - RKO Radio Pictures releases Disney's True-Life Adventure film Nature's Half Acre to theaters in the US.
  • 1951 - RKO Radio Pictures releases Disney's film Alice in Wonderland to theaters in the US. The film cost US$3 million to make.
  • 1987 - At the SIGGRAPH convention in Anaheim, California, Disney shows the computer-generated short film Oilspot and Lipstick. John Lasseter chairs the panel session Traditions and the Future of Character Animation, examining the past, present, and future of Disney animation.
  • 1989 - Sid Bass' investment group reports that its stake in the Walt Disney Company increased from 15.2 percent to 18.6, due mainly to two of its members being elected officers of a company that controls 2 percent of Disney shares.
  • 1989 - Buena Vista Pictures Distribution releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Turner and Hooch to theaters in the USA.
  • 1993 - The Bank of America closes its branch location in Disneyland. The location continues under the name Bank of Main Street.
  • 1994 - Ground breaking begins for a new Vacation Club Resort in Vero Beach, Florida.
  • 1994 - The Fox TV network air the last episode of The Sinbad Show.
  • 1995 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film Operation Dumbo Drop to theaters in the US.
  • 1997 - The Comedy Central TV network begins airing Win Ben Stein's Money.
  • 1999 - Comedy Central airs the South Park TV show in the USA. The Master Control Program from the film Tron is used to represent a fantasy character.
