- 1961 - The Flying Saucers ride opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
- 1970 - The Youth International Party (Yippies) holds an informal "First International Yippie Pow Wow" at Disneyland. After a tense day breaking up groups, Disneyland vice president of Operations Dick Nunis orders the park closed at 7:10 PM. In total, 23 of about 300 Yippies are arrested on a variety of charges.
- 1987 - The TV series The Ellen Burstyn Show returns to TV.
