  • 1928 - The Mickey Mouse film Gallopin' Gaucho is previewed in Los Angeles.
  • 1929 - Disney completes the Mickey Mouse film Mickey's Follies. It includes the first Disney song co-written by Walt Disney, "Minnie's Yoo Hoo".
  • 1957 - Disney releases the animated short film The Truth About Mother Goose to theaters.
  • 1957 - Buena Vista releases Disney's first and only animated and life-action True-Life Fantasy feature film Perri to theaters. The film is based on the book by Felix Salten.
  • 1957 - Disney releases the live-action featurette film Niok to theaters.
  • 1966 - The 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Exhibit display at Disneyland closes.
  • 1989 - Michael Eisner and Jim Henson announce that Disney will acquire Henson Associates for US$150 million. Jim Henson is to remain as a consultant, and produce TV shows and films for Disney. Disney would acquire publishing and licensing rights to all Muppet characters except Sesame Street characters.
  • 1991 - The Gambia issues twelve postage stamps depicting various Disney characters in Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories".
  • 1991 - Judson Green is named new president of Walt Disney Attractions, succeeding Richard Nunis, who is promoted to chairman of Walt Disney Attractions.
  • 1994 - The Art of Disney shop opens in the Disney Village Marketplace at Walt Disney World.
  • 1995 - The last episode of Disney's The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show airs.
  • 1995 - The UPN TV network airs a preview of the TV show Nowhere Man.
  • 1998 - Buena Vista releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film The Horse Whisperer to theaters in Great Britain.
  • 2006 - Time magazine shows a picture of dwarfs Dopey and Doc from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs accompanying the results of a recent survey showing that 77% of Americans polled could name two of the dwarfs, far higher than the number who could name two of the US Supreme Court judges.
