  • 1926 - Disney ships the 40th Alice Comedy film, Alice the Golf Bug, to Winkler Pictures.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network begins airing the fourth season of the Disneyland TV show, celebrating the fourth anniversary of the show.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring Emil and the Detectives, part one.
  • 1968 - In Marceline, Missouri, the United States Postal Service issues a 6-cent postage stamp, the first stamp honoring Walt Disney.
  • 1984 - Ray Watson and Phil Hawley interview Michael Eisner for the job of CEO at Disney.
  • 1984 - Michael Eisner and Paramount Pictures production chief Jeffrey Katzenberg fly to New York to discuss with Marvin Davis who would take over running Paramount Pictures.
  • 1987 - Disney releases the film Outrageous Fortune to theaters in the UK.
  • 1988 - The last The Disney Sunday Movie airs on ABC TV.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Crossing the Bridge to theatres.
  • 1993 - The ABC TV network airs the last episode of Goof Troop.
  • 1993 - The ABC TV network airs the last show of the Darkwing Duck series.
  • 1995 - The syndicated TV talk show Danny first airs.
  • 2001 - Following four plane crashes in the US, Michael Eisner and Robert Iger decide to stage an orderly closing of Walt Disney World, and not open Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure for the day.
  • 2002 - Disney releases the film Tuck Everlasting to theaters in the USA.
  • 2005 - The live show Festival of the Lion King gives its premiere performance at the Theater in the Wild in Hong Kong Disneyland.
  • 2009 - The Walt Disney Family Foundation shows film Walt and El Grupo in Los Angeles and New York. The film is about Walt Disney's 1941 goodwill tour to South America.
  • 2009 - Disney Cruise Line announces it will offer Alaskan cruises during a four-month season of seven-night sailings aboard the Disney Wonder in summer 2011, departing out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

  • 1923 - Birth of Don Edgren in Los Angeles, California, USA; engineer leader of Disneyland's engineering team, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, named Disney Legend in 2006.
