  • 1925 - M.J. Winkler Productions releases the Alice Comedy film Alice the Jail Bird to theaters.
  • 1928 - Walt Disney hires an orchestra in New York to record the soundtrack for Steamboat Willie. The session cost over $1000, but is a complete failure.
  • 1944 - The Goofy film How to Play Football is released to theaters.
  • 1958 - The Viewliner Train of Tomorrow attraction is permanently closed, to make way for new attractions. In its 15-month operational life, it carried 1,430,683 passengers.
  • 1980 - Togo issues eleven postage stamps depicting various Disney characters, for the 50th anniversary of Pluto.
  • 1981 - Disney releases the 16-mm film Popeye.
  • 1984 - The Circle-Vision film American Journeys opens in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
  • 1986 - The Character Shop in Tomorrowland at Disneyland closes.
  • 1990 - The NBC TV network airs a second preview of the series Hull High.
  • 1991 - The NBC TV network begins airing the series Pacific Station.
  • 1994 - Michael Eisner meets with Peter Rummell to discuss the Disney's America project. Projections of revenues and expenses show that the park would operate at a loss. Disney decides to abandon the idea to build the historical theme park in Virginia, for financial reasons and due to negative press.
  • 1995 - The Café des Visionnaires restaurant in Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris closes.
  • 1995 - Buena Vista Pictures makes a limited release of the feature film Unstrung Heroes to theaters in the USA.
  • 1995 - The ABC TV network previews the TV series Maybe This Time.
  • 1995 - The Buena Vista Television - Syndication TV series The Stephanie Miller Show debuts.
  • 1996 - The WB Network begins airing a new season of Brotherly Love.
  • 1996 - The Universe of Energy pavilion in EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World is updated, incorporating Ellen's Energy Adventure.
  • 1997 - The Candy Cauldron shop opens at Downtown Disney West Side at Walt Disney World.
  • 1998 - Sierra Leone issues fourteen postage stamps depicting characters from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
  • 1999 - For the first time in its 28-year history, most of Walt Disney World is closed for the day, due to the threat of Hurricane Floyd. Disney's Animal Kingdom re-opens at 12:00 PM for resort guests.
  • 2000 - Disney releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Duets to theaters in the USA.
  • 2000 - The TV series The Ainsley Harriott Show ends.
  • 2005 - Disney releases the Platinum Edition DVD of Cinderella.
  • 2006 - Disney releases the film The Guardian to theaters in the USA.
  • 2010 - La Hacienda de San Angel dining area opens adjacent to Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot center at Walt Disney World.
