  • 1925 - The Apollo Theater in Los Angeles premieres the Alice Comedy film Alice Plays Cupid.
  • 1928 - Walt Disney's "Mickey Mouse" trademark application is granted.
  • 1932 - A Sunday Mickey Mouse newspaper comic includes the first appearance of Morty and Ferdy, two children of Mrs. Fieldmouse, a neighbor of Mickey Mouse.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Four Fabulous Characters, including the films Johnny Appleseed, Martins and the Coys, Casey Jones, and Casey at the Bat.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring Emil and the Detectives, part two.
  • 1986 - The TV series Siskel & Ebert debuts in syndication.
  • 1986 - The film Captain Eo opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
  • 1987 - A US Federal Judge rules that the Disney/Hasbro "Wuzzle" characters do not infringe the copyright of Engrav-It's "What" characters.
  • 1987 - A two-hour syndicated TV special DuckTales airs. This is the debut of the first daily animated series from the Walt Disney Studios.
  • 1989 - The TV series Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers is syndicated for release on TV.
  • 1991 - Disney first shows the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Paradise in select theatres in New York.
  • 1992 - The CBS TV network begins airing the Disney show The Golden Palace, a sequel to The Golden Girls.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Captain Ron to theatres.
  • 1992 - Buena Vista releases the Hollywood Pictures / Miramax Films live-action feature film Sarafina! to selected theatres.
  • 1993 - The CBS TV network debuts the animated TV series Marsupilami.
  • 1995 - The CBS TV network debuts the Touchstone Television TV series If Not for You.
  • 1998 - Entertainment releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Deep Rising to theaters in Great Britain.
  • 2006 - The September 18 issue of Business Week features ten hot-air balloons in the sky on its cover, each with a company name. The largest balloon has the name "Disney". The cover refers to the article "Best Places to Launch a Career".
  • 2012 - Disney releases the film Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva la Fiesta! direct to the home video market in the USA.
