  • 1927 - Universal Pictures releases the third Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film, Oh, Teacher, to theaters.
  • 1952 - The Pluto film Pluto's Party is released. Mickey Mouse and several nephews also appear.
  • 1956 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled The Great Cat Family.
  • 1965 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Yellowstone Cubs.
  • 1966 - The Monsanto Hall of Chemistry display at Disneyland closes.
  • 1966 - Walt Disney gives a press conference, regarding development of the Mineral King ski resort, in southern California.
  • 1971 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled Charlie Crowfoot and the Coati Mundi.
  • 1984 - Michael Eisner convinces Sid Bass that he should be chairman, not president of Disney.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network airs the pilot movie Sidekicks. The film was previously aired as The Last Electric Knight.
  • 1987 - The State Fair event is first held at Disneyland.
  • 1990 - The CBS TV network debuts the Disney-produced series Lenny.
  • 1995 - Disney releases the film The Lion King on laserdisc and videocassette in the UK.
  • 1995 - Disney releases the film The Lion King on laserdisc in the US, for US$30-125.
  • 1997 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film A Thousand Acres to theaters in the USA.
  • 2000 - Disney releases the animated film The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea on videocassette.
  • 2001 - Sid Bass tells Michael Eisner that the Bass family must sell a combined 135 million shares of Disney stock, representing 6.7 percent of the company total shares, worth US$2.2 billion.
  • 2003 - Buena Vista releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Cold Creek Manor to theaters in the USA.
