  • 1927 - The Colony Theater in New York City premieres the seventh Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film, The Ocean Hop.
  • 1930 - The Silly Symphony film Monkey Melodies is released to theaters.
  • 1936 - The Silly Symphony film Three Blind Mouseketeers is released to theaters.
  • 1937 - Camera work begins on the film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
  • 1953 - Walt Disney discusses his plans for Disneyland with Herb Ryman, convincing him to help draw a visual image of the park. Over 42 hours, the two create a 43x70 inch detailed aerial view.
  • 1956 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Searching for Nature's Mysteries.
  • 1962 - Buena Vista releases Disney's live-action film Almost Angels to theaters. It is released in the United Kingdom as Born to Sing.
  • 1965 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled The Further Adventures of Gallegher: A Case of Murder.
  • 1971 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring Hacksaw, part one.
  • 1975 - The National Broadcasting Company airs The Rockford Files TV show in the USA. A character says to others "Why don't you guys go back to Disneyland and leave me alone, huh?"
  • 1981 - Disney's weekly TV show moves to CBS, making it the first prime-time series to have appeared on all three major networks. The show is renamed Walt Disney, airing on Saturdays from 8:00 to 9:00.
  • 1986 - The syndicated TV show Today's Business premieres. The early-morning show airs on 133 stations.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network debuts the Disney-produced Sidekicks show.
  • 1991 - The Dinosaurs Live parade begins at the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park at Walt Disney World.
  • 1991 - The Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano restaurant opens at the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park at Walt Disney World. Former name of the restaurant was Studio Pizzeria.
  • 1991 - Hyperion Books publishes its first book: Amazing Grace.
  • 1994 - The Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant in Disneyland closes.
  • 1995 - Michael Eisner recommends the Disney board approve the appointment of Michael Ovitz as president. The board unanimously approves.
  • 1997 - The ABC TV network begins airing the Teen Angel show.
  • 1997 - The ABC TV network debuts the series You Wish.
  • 1999 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US.
    • At a movie theater special screening, an audience member asks: "Will there be any Flubber in this movie?", a reference to Disney's 1997 film Flubber.
    • Herbie the Love Bug appears in an automobile museum.

  • 2000 - Disney premieres the Walt Disney Pictures film Remember the Titans in Washington, D.C.
  • 2001 - The ABC TV network premieres the According to Jim TV show.
  • 2003 - Disney releases the live-action feature film Under the Tuscan Sun to theaters in the US.
  • 2007 - The ABC TV network premieres the TV series Dirty Sexy Money.
  • 2010 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. The episode title, "Elementary School Musical", is a play on Disney's film High School Musical.
  • 2011 - The ABC TV network premieres The Chew series.
