  • 1994 - Death of Henry Mancini at age 70 of liver and pancreatic cancer in Beverly Hills, California, USA; pianist, composer, orchestra leader (Glenn Miller-Tex Beneke orchestra, worked on over 100 films, "Moon River", "Days of Wine and Roses", Peter Gunn TV show theme, Pink Panther movie theme, over 90 albums, "Love Theme From Romeo and Juliet" album (1969)).
  • 1995 - Death of Rory Gallagher at age 46 of complications following a liver transplant in London, England; Irish blues guitarist (albums "Live in Europe" and "Blueprint").
  • 2009 - Death of Bob Bogle at age 75 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; co-founder and original lead guitarist of the early rock band The Ventures.
