  • 1958 - ABC debuts TV show The Donna Reed Show.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the last episode of the Disney-produced TV show, Zorro. ABC cancelled the show because it was cheaper to finance its own shows. 78 episodes were produced.
  • 1964 - The first episode of TV show The Munsters airs.
  • 1968 - 60 Minutes TV show premieres on CBS in the USA.
  • 1968 - ABC-TV debuts The Mod Squad TV show.
  • 1970 - The ABC TV network airs the first The Odd Couple 30-minute comedy TV show in the USA.
  • 1977 - American Broadcasting Company begins airing the TV series The Love Boat in the USA. Two Princess Cruises ships are used on the show: Island Princess and Pacific Princess.
  • 1983 - The CBS TV network airs the Walt Disney TV show for the last time, entitled Walt Disney's Mickey and Donald.
  • 1985 - ABC airs the first episode of TV show Growing Pains.
  • 1987 - NBC debuts the TV series A Different World.
  • 1993 - The ABC TV network begins airing the series Boy Meets World.
  • 1996 - ABC airs the 200th episode of the Roseanne TV show.
  • 1997 - ABC begins airing the TV series Dharma and Greg.
  • 2008 - TV series Knight Rider debuts in the US.
