This document is an attempt to bring various published sources together to present a timeline about Postage Stamps. This is a work-in-progress of a comprehensive timeline of world postage stamps. I am adding start and end dates of all countries, notable sales, and unusual developments in the history of stamps. I am making my way through the Scott 2010 catalogs, as well as trying to keep up with current stamp magazines. If you have suggestions for additions, I would appreciate reading your thoughts.

References are numbered in [brackets], which are listed here. A number after the dot gives the page in the source.
