29-cent stamp depicts Elvis Presley with caption "ELVIS". Five months later same stamp is issued with caption "ELVIS PRESLEY" as part of series of entertainers.

$30 stamp depicts Leaellynasaura dinosaur misspelled as "Leaellynosaurs".
$30 stamp depicts Heterodontosaurus dinosaur misspelled as "Heterdontosaurus".

Greenland

4-krone stamp depicts the Chionoecetes opilio crab, misspelled (mirror reflected?) "oiliqo". The error was corrected quickly.

2000-lira stamp depicts a left-right flipped image of US astronaut Jim Irwin on the Moon during the Apollo 15 mission in 1971, and is erroneously captioned July 21, 1969.

Cuba

10-centavo stamp depicts a bicycle designed by Ernest Michaux, with first name misspelled "Ermest".

Cyprus

20-cent stamp depicts the Water Skiing Moufflon Encouragement Cup, with misspelling "MUFFLON". The error was quickly corrected and re-issued.

21-, 45-, 60-, and 90-toea stamps with incorrect capital "T" for the denomination. The error was corrected before release.

20th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso, painter.
$5 stamp depicts Portrait of Wilhelm Uhde, but the caption misspells as "Unde".

Azerbaijan

25-manat stamp depicts map of Nakhichevan labelled "Haxcivan" instead of the correct "Naxcivan". A corrected version is issued September 20.

5-cent stamp depicts the burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia arubensis) misspelled as "conicularia".

10-dobra stamp depicts Marilyn Monroe, with dark facial mole (beauty mark) on her right cheek, when it should be on her left, indicating that the image is flipped left-right.

Three first class rate stamps depict flowers, with botanist Karl Friedrich Philipp von Martius' name on the edge, with misspelling "Phillip".

3-rufiyaa stamp depicts Montanoceratops dinosaur misspelled as "Montanaceratops".
3-rufiyaa stamp depicts Parksosaurus dinosaur misspelled as "Parkosaurus".

100th anniversary of the International Olympic Committee.
5-, 30-, and 50-centavo stamps depict the Olympic flag attached to the pole on the wrong side.
The 30-centavo stamp has a rough hand-drawn map of the world, which excuses most of the inaccuracy, but it would have been nice to at least have the Baja peninsula on Mexico, for New Zealand to exist, for Australia to not be attached to the islands to the north, and to include the entire continent of Antarctica. There is even an added non-existant dot of an island directly below Africa.

100th anniversary of the International Olympic Committee.
150- and 200-franc stamps depict the Olympic rings, with the correct blue/yellow overlaps swapped.

600-franc stamp depicts officer Ellen Ripley holding Newt and an Alien, with caption "ALIEN", but Newt appeared in the film's sequel "Aliens".

29-cent stamp with caption "Bill Pickett" actually portrays his brother Ben. The sheet of 20 different portraits was recalled and re-issued, but the originals with the error were sold at face value by the post office.

750-franc stamp depicts US astronaut on the Moon with a US flag with 13 stripes but only 26 stars instead of 50.
