$5 stamp depicts the plain-pouched hornbill, but omits the intended label of the country name and year in the top left corner. The stamp was withdrawn February 3.

60-piaster stamp depicts little green bee-eater bird, inscribed "littlel" in error.

Azerbaijan

12-gopik stamp depicts 13th century astronomer Nasir al-Din Tusi using a telescope, which was not invented until the 1600s. The design also shows a globe of the Earth, which was not constructed until almost 1500.

$320 stamp depicts US President Barack Obama over US flag, except flag has 11 red and white stripes instead of 13.

United Nations (New York)

27-cent and 44-cent postage stamps are captioned "Town Hall and Roland on the Marketplace of Bremen", and depicts the town hall, but omits the statue of Roland.

1st-class stamp depicts close-up of face of Statue of Liberty, but uses the copy of the statue at the New York New York casino in Las Vegas. An indicator of this is the small rectangular plaque on the replica's center spike. The USPS press release indicated the statue in New York Harbor, with no mention of being the replica in Las Vegas.

$1.90 stamp depicts Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, but is inscribed "Shahid Afridi". A corrected stamp is also issued.
$1.90 stamp depicts Andrew Strauss of England, but is inscribed "Ricky Ponting". A corrected stamp is also issued.

60-sen stamp depicts "Thank You" in English, Bahasa Malasia, Mandarin, and Hindi, but omitting Tamil by error of the issuing committee. The stamp set is withdrawn, revised, and re-issued July 18.

1.40-lev stamp depicts the Titanic with red star on white tail flag instead of white star on red, no flag on the forward or rear masts, and the star flag should be on the rear mast, not the tail.

100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic passenger liner.
1.50-mark stamp depicts the Titanic with smoke coming from all four funnels, but the rear funnel was non-functional. Also, the ship is sailing with no flags flying.

2-pa'anga stamp shows flag of the United Kingdom, orientation of red diagonals indicate it is flown left to right instead of right to left like other flags in the series of stamps. Also, "Kingdom" is misspelled "Kindgom".

60-cent postage stamp depicts Irish citizen army, supposedly depicting former British Army officer Captain Jack White, but is not him. Stamp is withdrawn after 10 minutes on sale, re-issued April 17 without the close-up image.

Guyana

$250 stamp inscribed cross-country skiing but depicts slalom skier.

Liechtenstein

Postage stamp inscribed "Rolls Royce" in error; re-issued November 10 with added hyphen.

Egypt

2-pound stamp of the Suez Canal depicts the Panama Canal in error. The stamp is quickly withdrawn, replaced September 16 with a corrected stamp.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Canada.
$1.20 stamp inscribed "Dinosaur Provincial Park" actually shows a scene from close to Drumheller, 60 miles away from the UNESCO site. The stamp is withdrawn on July 6.
